PROJECT MANAGEMENT – PRODUCT TRANSFORMATION / FULL TIME

The Project Manager III is responsible for the overall management and administration of client projects through the entire project lifecycle.  Lead the execution and delivery of assigned projects to agreed time, scope, budget, and quality following established process and delivery methodology. May guide teams consisting of cross functional, global, and virtual groups; assigns responsibility and monitors performance and outcome.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and, in some cases, help define client goals, scope, and expectations
  • Clearly articulate goals and purpose to the project team; coordinate project kickoffs, ramp-up, and other project milestone events
  • Establish a project delivery framework and manage to it.  This may include plan-driven initiatives where schedule, scope, and budget are defined, as well as Agile or hybrid-Agile initiatives where velocity of delivery and a set cadence are to be maintained.
  • Follow and execute upon established communication plan  
  • Provide meeting agendas, meeting notes and status/progress reports  
  • Manage assigned work and resources; coordinate efforts with assigned PM’s to ensure efficiency and maximum effectiveness  
  • Manage communications within project team and with stakeholder  
  • Monitor Progress and burn rates as a method for tracking and reporting progress
  • Proactively identify risks and issues and clearly articulate options or next steps
  • Continually drive project to completion while keeping client business goals and needs in focus  
  • Motivate colleagues and manage stakeholder priorities in a deadline-oriented environment 
  • Assist with the development and creation of statements of work to support growth of project  
  • In some cases, coach and mentor other project managers
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Technology, or a related field  
  • 5+ years technical project management experience  
  • 3+ years in professional services industry
  • Experience leading complex custom software development initiatives
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills (includes negotiation and conflict resolution)  
  • Strong analytical and organization skills 
  • Project Management or related certifications are desired (e.g., PMI, Agile certifications, etc.)
  • Experience in a Consulting environment is desired.
