Kansas City/Seattle/St. Louis/Chicago IT Modernization - IT Modernization Full Time
The Senior Manager, IT Modernization will be responsible for leading the IT Modernization team, working with Microsoft teams and with our customers.
Responsibilities
Lead Valorem Reply’s IT Modernization (cloud and infrastructure) team as a Senior Manager and mentor and a conduit through which the latest information, trends and practices are shared in order to build up the entire team
Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, career development and training plans for direct reports
Maintain the applicable Microsoft Competency designations for the team by meeting the requirements including certifications by direct reports
Working directly with Microsoft product and marketing teams responsible for the R&D, marketing and operations teams to learn from and provide field input to the Microsoft teams delivering next-gen portals and content
Work with Valorem Reply’s customers in both pre-sales as well as billable scenarios when necessary to accelerate opportunities for intranet and extranet portal and collaboration.
Identify opportunities by collaborating with our sales teams to ensure growth attainment.
Assist in writing and proofing Statements of Work (SOWs)
Provide leadership in the enterprise community through social media, articles, speaking engagements, seminars and conferences
Demonstrated design and admin experience with on-premises and online (Azure) components of infrastructure and platform components.
Demonstrated design and admin experience with underlying infrastructure including Active Directory, ADFS, on-premises compute, networking and storage concepts and technologies
Demonstrated design and admin experience with various Azure services (Azure IaaS, Azure PaaS, storage, networking compute, etc.)
Provide consultative guidance to customers around design principals, best practices, deployment methods and adoption.
Pass required certification exams relevant to the role and Valorem competencies
Generate high quality deliverables as negotiated in signed Statements of Work (SOW)
He/she will build and maintain strong relationships with multiple technical and line of business contacts within the assigned customer engagements.
He/she will be required to maintain strong working relationships and collaborate with other Valorem Reply team members in Sales, Services, Marketing and Product Management teams
Requirements
Experience in Cloud Strategy, IT roadmaps and general consulting skills strongly preferred
Knowledge of Azure and Office 365 cloud platforms required
At least five years of IT experience, with at least three years managing operations
Proven track record of selling and leading a cloud managed services practice
Ability to work well in a cross-functional team required
Must have excellent organizational, verbal and written skills
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as root cause analysis background required
At least two years of experience running a Managed Services practice, with a focus on Cloud Managed Services
10+ years of relevant business experience, demonstrated expertise with Exchange and Office 365
Demonstrated experience in consulting and/or project management
BA/BS Degree, MBA preferred
Microsoft certification preferred
