Human Resources Business Partner

Kochi, Kerala, India Operations - Human Resources Permanent (Full Time)

The HRBP is a part of the India human resource team and the position reports into Senior Manager HR and VP Operations, India. The HRBP assists the company in meeting its business needs by partnering with department heads of one or more verticals to plan and drive workforce strategy and lead HR Ops to improve employee experience, HR processes and efficiency.

General Description & Responsibilities

  • Identifies and administers legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and partners with the HR Manager to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Conducts periodic meetings with respective business units.
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance to the staff when appropriate.
  • Analyzes operations trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Partners with Manager of HR on program, policy, process development and implementation in areas such as compensation, benefits, performance management, new hire/on-boarding (including pre-employment), terminations, training and development.
  • Other Human Resources projects as assigned.
  • Placement Criteria & Requirements

  • Considerable knowledge of HR processes, procedures, applicable central and state laws, rules and regulations.
  • Strong communication, decision-making, problem solving, and organizational/planning skills.
  • Ability to multi-task in a face paced environment.
  • Bachelor of Science, HR Management, Business Administration or Equivalent.
  • Minimum 7 years of related HR work experience of which 4 years as an HR business partner
  • Expertise in India employee relations, local laws and compliance requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office Applications with intermediate to advance knowledge of excel, and Power point
