Hello, my name is Brian Voelz. I am a senior security consultant on the Valorem Reply security team. My Valorem Vision for 2025 is intelligent endpoint protection through the continued convergence of endpoint protection and endpoint management platforms, as well as the expanded use of generative AI to improve device security.
Endpoint protection platforms are comprehensive security suites designed to safeguard an organization's endpoints, including desktops, laptops, mobile, and IoT devices, and in some cases, servers, from known and emerging cyber threats. They leverage AI, machine learning, behavioral analytics, and integrated threat intelligence to detect, prevent, and mitigate attacks and malicious behavior on end-user devices. They also provide centralized reporting and telemetry that assists with incident investigations, reducing risk and improving overall security posture.
Endpoint management platforms provide centralized life cycle management of end-user devices, including Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Linux. Their key capabilities include device onboarding, provisioning, patch and update management, configuration and compliance enforcement, application management, as well as remote monitoring and deployment of security features to end devices.
Common endpoint attacks such as ransomware, malware, and vulnerability exploits account for a large percentage of overall security incidents. The cost of recovery to an organization only continues to increase. The convergence of these two platforms can provide a comprehensive solution for both managing and securing a wide array of devices and operating systems across your digital estate. Maintaining a holistic view of what is happening in your environment is critical to dealing with security threats and is optimized by receiving signals from all your endpoints. The use of generative AI, along with the security and management data from these platforms, will strengthen enterprise defenses and improve security posture.
Valorem Reply is here to help you transition your devices to cloud-first endpoint architecture and management platforms such as Microsoft Intune. We can also assist you with the adoption of Defender for Endpoint, which is Microsoft's endpoint protection platform, as well as other products within the Defender suite that aim to safeguard data and other digital assets beyond just user devices.
